I was really wanting to do some Perler Bead sprites last night and decided I'd finally do my Invader Zim and Gir heads. I used regular sized beads. I think they came out pretty cute!

I made this one for my friend Amanda's son Gino. He is OBSESSED with Stranger Things. It was really easy and came together pretty quickly. I was really happy with him. He's made with regular sized beads.
The Young Ones is amazing. It's SO stupid, but it's just also so funny. It's a British show from the early 1980s and starred Rik Mayall, Ade Edmondson, Nigel Planer and Christopher Ryan. It was crass and punk rock. It was absurd and poorly done. It was subversive and unapologetic. And I love it so, so much. I got these designs from a website called Iotacons.
Here are my oung Ones Sprites. Here we have..
Vyvyan Bastard (Ade Edmondson)
Mike the Cool Guy (Christopher Ryan)
Neil the Hippie (Nigel Planer)
Rik "The People's Poet" (Rik Mayall)
I used a guillotine cross stitch pattern from Night Spirit Studio for this guillotine.
I purchased this Spiderman Perler Beads kit and worked on it for days. I thought it would look great mounted on a big canvas.
Here is a collection of Perler sprites I made from mini beads this past weekend. They are so fun to make!
We have tiny ghosts made with glow in the dark beads, an eyeball bow, a Hufflepuff bow, a tiny grim reaper, a tiny Batman symbol, a lego guy head, another tiny ghost, a Mighty Boosh face and a planchette. I got all of these designs on Pinterest.
I am Gen X to the T, and I love Daria. It was another Mike Judge thing I didn't think I'd like. I used to watch it late at night on MTV when I lived on Wallingstone with my ex and his family in Austin. We had a little room and we had a big TV in there and I was always watching MTV. I miss how they used to have actual videos. with a few actually creative shows like Liquid TV, Idiot Box, and Daria, rather than the reality bullshit they have now.
People always told me that I reminded them of Jane because I dressed like that and my hair was like hers for a while, and I'm a sarcastic asshole. LOL I always took it as a compliment!
I recently watched Daria and.. well... it doesn't really
hold up BUT it still holds a special place in my heart because I am the most nostalgic asshole I know. I made these late last year and then stuck them on a canvas I painted using E-600 glue yesterday!
How cute are these South Park heads? I made them from mini beads for my sweet husband on Sunday. I plan to make the rest of the characters as well.
I have this ornery/contrary nature. If someone is going on and on about something, and several people are like "YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS!" or it's all anyone is talking about, I become very uninterested. I was like that with Game of Thrones and Sandman, for example. So I wasn't really interested in Good Omens.
Allen decided to start watching it and I was doing some cross stitching but became interested almost immediately. It's so good, and the characters are so cute. I just adore Michael Sheen and David Tenant and their banter in this show is just perfection. And now I am obsessed with Good Omens!
I have a cross stitch pattern for Crowley and Aziraphale so I made this cute little canvas! Crowley's skin is a little dark, but I think it still works.
I went to Amanda's last night and they had this Harry Potter perler kit to try out, so I got right into it!
They're so cute. I made a Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw shield because I am a Hufflepuff and Allen is a Ravenclaw. I played around with melting again but decided I still like the less melted look.
I loved The X-Files back in the 90s. I remember when it came out and I think we were briefly in Canada at the time, and it was always on and talked about but I never watched it. Then when I actually sat down and checked it out, I loved it! So when I found this on Pinterest, I had to make my own!
I wonder if they will ever admit that aliens are here...
I made these this weekend. I love to make horror movie perler beads and then came up with the idea to mount them on blood-spattered canvases (that I made). Can't wait to do more. Maybe I can make some for my sister...
I love Christmas stitching. It's so cozy and makes me really excited for the holiday! Here are some Sublime Stitching ornaments I stitched up! Some are going to my mom and I'm keeping some as well.
I worked on these at my parents' house since i was there for Thanksgiving, which for my family, is the official start of the Christmas season! I love some holiday stitching in the forest! They remind me of some of the ornaments we had when I was a kid. I am sure most of those are broken at this point...
This is my attempt to revive this blog. I haven't done a lot of crafty stuff this year because it's honestly just been sort of a rough year. Well no, actually, that's not true. I have made a ton of paper beads. That's basically all I've done! I'll have to get some pics and post them. I find rolling them to be very calming...
Anyway, I did these cute cute little stitches from Wild Olive's Teeny Tinies! I did some of these on Halloween, and then made pins out of them last night.
I've been making these cute embroidery pendants and thought I'd try my hand at my own design. What do you think?
Look at these teeny tiny mushrooms! I think I used 16 ct aida for these. They are so cute. Here is a pic of some embroidery scissors for scale.
I would love to make all of the plants from the Plants V. Zombies game. For now, here is the Peashooter.
Here is a random piece I made for a friend and didn't end up giving it to her because there was some schmutz on it. Instead, I gave her another cross stitch I did, and kept this one. This was back when we still had cats :(
Pattern by 1906Monsters on Etsy. I sort of personalized it to my friend's cats but.. now they're just cute little cats.
