Happy late new year! Usually I stitch my ass off at the end of the year between gifts and just doing ornaments for the hell of it, and so I need a break. Sometimes I don't do anything, and sometimes I find another hobby to obsess over.
There are a few companies who make these beads. I call them "melty beads" or "Perler Beads", because Perler is the main brand who makes them in the US. They make larger and smaller beads. The smaller beads are good for more detailed projects and the bigger ones are ideal for either really large pieces or projects that don't need as much detail.
It's almost like cross stitching but rather than placing Xs of thread on fabric, you place beads onto pegboard and then melt them using an iron. I really love doing these.
I did this one on New Year's Eve. It's from a Tusk and Cardinal cross stitch pattern, but I used little beads. It's a Ghost Tea Party!
