...And More Again

Here are some more smaller embroidery pieces I've recently completed.

This is from the Sublime Stitching Craftopia pattern.

From a set of meme patterns I found on Flickr.  I made it for Tammy because there is a lady at work who is always up in everybody's fuckin business, and she snaps her head around like the gopher in this meme when someone says something she's interested in.

This is a free Sublime Stitching pattern.  She often puts free ones up for people to stitch, which is very generous!

New Stuff

I don't have much to say, really, so I'm just gonna post some photos of some stuff I made recently.  This is a Cate Anevski design that I stitched up and made a pillow from.  http://cateanevski.typepad.com/cateanevski/

I drew these mini patterns.

And here is a slightly blurry picture of a creepy little skater dude onesie I made.  The pattern is Sublime Stitching/Michael Sieben.

Are Those Rings?

Today, I also made some more cute rings for my shop!  The first are, obviously, buttons.  I love how versatile buttons are, and I keep saying it but not doing it, but I should really start incorporating them more in my crafting.  I used my new cups in a weird way that I want to pretend is "artistic" to pose the rings, and you can't even tell they're rings.  Dumb.

But that last one!  How cute is it?  I got a miniature plate and glued all the tea biscuits on it.  I may keep it for myself and make another to sell.  How cute is it?  These will be in my Etsy Shop soon, and hopefully people will read the title of the listing and know what these are.

Accidental Treasures

Okay, I really didn't even mean to go on a treasure hunt, but I found myself in a Goodwill store looking for a frame, and found these beauties.  I got them all for $3.09!!

I also got a small Beethoven bust for my sister, but it's sort of wrapped up and I forgot to get a photo!

Helicopters

I also made this cute onesie! I saw some similar helicopters on a kid's shirt somewhere and I can't remember where.  They inspired me.

Treasure Hunting!

No crafting got done today.  Instead, we ate homemade meatball sandwiches, talked about tons of stuff, made fun of ourselves, petted a sweet dog and a handsome kitty, and went to the Antique Mall, where I saw SO SO much stuff I wanted!  AGH!  I will have to return often.

There were several other things, too, like old cameras and cute salt and pepper shakers, but here is what I came home with- some cute melamine dishes.  Now, these tiny ass cups are NOT gonna hold my coffee, so I will have to figure out something else to do with them.

Whew.  I can't wait to go back!

Jewelry from Dollhouse Minis

I love little tiny things!  I found this dollhouse tea set and decided I must make jewelry with it!   I think I will be making a lot more of these using some Rement miniatures!!  Allen took these photos and I think they are amazing!  In the last picture, you will see a silhouette my Granny had made of me when I was 2 years old.  Back then, you had to sit still and they would cut the silhouette out of your shadow.  My mom has one and my Granny had one, but she gave it to me!

Busy Saturday

After a late night out, we woke up a little late today and had delicious breakfast tacos (and I had a mango ginger mimosa) at Trudy's on Fruth Street.  It was FANTASTIC.  We came home,  and I immediately started on this cute little thing:

I am really happy with how it turned out.  It's a Sublime Stitching/Lisa Petrucco pattern.  I have not decided if I'm going to put it up in my Etsy shop or take it to Moxie.  My baby stuff doesn't seem to be selling very well there.  I'm thinking of adding toddler and children's shirts to my shop soon.  Maybe they'll sell better.  I also managed to get transfers on to 4 more onesies, and I'm going to try to finish those this week.  I have a few boy's designs so maybe they'll sell as well.

Okay, I'm off to start stitching again!  I hope everyone's had a good Saturday!

New Acheivement Unlocked- Bows

I learned to make hair bows, and in true Joanne fashion, went crazy making them.   I'm taking them to Moxie tomorrow.  They are all out of scrap fabric I have accumulated.  My ex's mom makes what she calls "Christmas pants" every year.  She makes us all a pair of pajama pants out of fabric, and she gave me a bunch of scraps.  In some of these, I recognize people's pajama pants that she has made.  I love it- it's very special.

I figure I can make bigger ones of these and use them for bowties.  Ideas are flowin now.
