More hair clips!

Here is one that came out kinda wonky and not like I expected.
Photobucket

But I think it looks okay in my hair.
Photobucket

Here is one I think came out awesomely.

And here it is perched in my hair.

Oh, and the smack I talked today about making an Etsy shop... well, I opened the shop, but I haven't listed anything so far. I'm still debating on it. I think my stuff is cute, but I think I need to get A LOT better before I start trying to sell them.

kbye!
Here are some more barrettes I made. These are just for me to wear. I don't plan to sell these on my Etsy shop that I WILL start today!

These are inspired by some apples I saw on Red Velvet Art's blog.

Action shot, of course.

This is my Buddy Holly strawberry. He needs a bowtie, I know. Sadly, there is no action shot. Maybe later.

Photobucket

And here is some toast. These I may actually make more of and sell. I went to a burrito place and some girl said she loved them, and so I think they may sell.

Photobucket

And here they are in muh hurr.

Photobucket

I'm also working on a lot more, and I'm working on some cupcake toppers, too. But alas, I still need to get them scanned in so I can print them out and make a bunch, and I also need to get more printer ink. Uf.

Here is some more stuff I've done.

My friend's getting married on November 7th, so I made her this. It's from the Sublime Stitching Craft Pad. Sorry for the crooked picture, I took it crooked and I'm too lazy to fix it. I might at a later date.

Photobucket

Here is something I've done from the Tara McPherson/Sublime Stitching collaboration patterns. I am pretty happy with the way it came out.

Photobucket

I just bought the Sublime Stitching Country Cool and Word Balloon patterns, and three skeins of glow in the dark floss from a local shop here in Austin. They said they think she's discontinuing the Word Balloon pattern. I've learned that I'd better get my grubby paws on her discontinued patterns or I'll never, ever have them. Boo! I think she discontinued the Handmade Nation one, and I'm sad that I didn't pick it up when I had the chance. :( Anyway, I have Christmas present ideas for those patterns and I can't wait to start them.

That's all for now. Thanks for reading, Kristi, since you're mostly the only one who does ;) haha! And if anyone else happened upon this, thanks to you, too :)

Sorry for some of the weird stitch work. These are so wittle tiny that it was hard to do some of them.

Bookshelf!

Hey, here's a bookshelf!

Photobucket

My grandad and I made it last week with our own four hands. He almost electrocuted himself on the saw, which he found to be funny. He's very accident prone. But he's really good at building things, so I wanted him to teach me.

I painted it today and managed to get paint all over the sidewalk (despite the newspaper I laid down- it's really windy today, of course!) and myself. I even have it on my face. But this is gonna look so nice in the front room!

Hey, here's some new stuff!

I made some barrettes. These are pizza, obviously, and there are no action shots because my hair needs a wash.

Pizza barrettes

This is bacon and eggs. I don't even like bacon and eggs, but they sure make cute barrettes.

Here is a tiny tub from Wild Olive's Teeny Tinies pattern.

Here is a tiny ice cream cone from Wild Olive's Teeny Tinies pattern.

And this is my favorite. It's from "The Little Prince". I did it for a friend. I'm very pleased with how it came out. I'm finally getting better at this!

I have so many things I want to stitch up. I have a ton of Wild Olive and Sublime Stitching patterns I've not done yet. I have a ton of other stuff as well that I've just found or people have passed down to me as well. And I've drawn up a couple of little things myself. I never know where to start, and I always get overwhelmed, so I decided to make a list. I have friends who have moved into new apartments, birthdays, and Christmas coming up, so I made a list of people I'm doing embroidery projects for, and I started on it Thursday.

I did this one from an Urban Threads pattern. Yes, I know, they are evil, but I got this stuff before I knew they were evil and I'm not about to pitch it! I made it for my friend who's just moved into a new place. I thinks it's adorable. We all love Cthulhu.

Photobucket

This is another for his roommate. Here, I tried my hand at coloring the fabric. I'm a terrible color-er. I have the tendency to color in one direction and then totally switch it up, and I have to learn that is a no-no. But I think it came out okay anyhow.

Photobucket

That's it for now!

Here is some stuff I've worked on.

Here is one of two guys like this. I found this pattern on Flickr, I think. The other is green with different hair, and I'll post it when I've done it.

Blue Hair

I did this one for my friend Rebecca. She's got a tattoo almost just like this.

Come and Get it!

And this is one I found on Flickr as well. It's an elsiecake design, I think, and I did her hair like mine, so I guess I sorta elsiecaked myself for this one. I have altered this drawing for a tattoo that I will be getting in the near future.

Dreams of Coffee

Okay, I'm being rushed out the door grrrr so that's all for now! I have some stuff I'm working on that I'm excited about posting though!

More goodies

Here is something I made for my boyfriend. I have to iron out the hoop mark, and then I'm gonna frame it for him.

Photobucket

And I like making these!

Lots of goodies!

Okay, I had to wait to post this in case anyone for whom I made this stuff saw this blog.

Here is some onigiri I made for my friend Branden for his birthday. He took the photo with his phone so it's a bit blurry. I forgot to get one myself.

Photobucket

Here are some hair clips I made today. I wanted them to look like sushi, but I think I failed. Some people knew they were sushi, and my friend Dena said they looked like a bowl of pho, so I guess I'll just say they're whatever you think they are. I'm thinking of maybe starting an etsy store and making some stuff like this to sell. I'm keeping these ones, though.

Photobucket

Here's an action shot:

Here is a coin pouch that I made for my friend Jessica. It's a little wonky, but she loved it, and that's all that matters.

Deathwish Dena

Ooookay, here is a Roller Girl that I did for my friend Deathwish Dena, who just joined a roller derby team here in Austin. I forget which team. So see, I'm not that gooda friend.

Anyhow, this is a Sublime Stitching pattern that I borrowed from a friend. For some reason, I was sort of intimidated by this one as well. Maybe because it's so detailed. But I think it came out nicely!

Photobucket

Mystery Gift

So I was sitting here at home, watching those horrible Judge shows on my day off, when there is a knock at my door. When I opened the door, there was a dude who handed me a padded envelope. Inside that envelope was the Sublime Stitching Craft Pad, which has tons of rad embroidery patterns.

I did not order this. There was no invoice for this in the package. Using my amazing skills of deductive reasoning, I came to the conclusion that SOMEONE has sent me a gift, and for some reason, did not include anything telling me who they were!

Dude, this thing is so awesome and I can't wait to get stitchin!

Oh, and I do have a few more things I've finished that I'll post pictures of soon, I just need to get around to it. That is all.
