Happy New Year and Etsy update

Happy New Year, everyone. I'll skip the resolutions, etc., because I've already read more of those than I care to ever read again, and I'll just plug my Etsy shop. Please be gentle- I'm only just starting.

Happy Aftermath!

So, Christmas is over. I have decided to blog more about things other than what I've made. So, here's my first attempt.

We went out to my parents' house on Christmas Eve. We always open gifts and stockings on Christmas Eve because my Granny can't wait until Christmas Day. So, here are some photos from Christmas Eve.

Here's my Mom, my sister Sam, and my Granny opening gifts.

Here's my Dad, Grandad and a friend of the family named Molly opening gifts.

Seein as how tomorrow is Christmas Eve, this will be my last post for a few days. Here are the last things I made for Christmas!

Here is another Christmas tree from yarn that I made. It's for my Granny.

Here are some mint chocolate covered oreos I made with a Wilton mold.

Here are those cookies with some friends. They're for my Granny's Birthday, which is today. But I won't see her until tomorrow. Boo!
Photobucket

My Grandad is diabetic, but it's really mild. Still, I made some diabetic goodies for him! Sugar free chocolate covered wafers, peanut butter cups, and Turtles!
Photobucket

I made these guys for my friend Dylan. They're made of peanut butter, oats, and cocoa.
Photobucket

Here is the pumpkin pie cheesecake that I made. It's not very pretty right now.
Photobucket

Here are some salami cream cheese rolls. I know that sounds gross, but they're amazing. As you can see, I've already helped myself to a few...
Photobucket

And here is another embroidery I did. I hope everyone has a great Christmas!

Here's the last of my handmade Christmas gifts!

Here is a pillow I made from a Red Velvet Art cupcake pattern. Get yours here:

Here's my Little Prince pattern. I just did an image search for "Le Petit Prince" and enlarged the image.

Here is a shirt I embroidered some stuff on. It's from the Sublime Stitching Country Cool pattern. It came out sorta wonky because I wasn't able to transfer them onto the dark material.

Oh, and I did this one for me. I'm doing all of the ones from this pattern for our kitchen. Get yours here:

Here are some more things I've made.

I did this tree from a Pretty Ditty tutorial. She used fake berries, but I found some really cute scrap booking brads that I used instead. They're more me. Here's the tutorial: http://pretty-ditty.blogspot.com/2009/12/yarn-christmas-trees-tutorial.html

Here's my tree!

Here are two more pillows I made! Making pillows is fun and I'm learning a lot in the process. The first is from the Black Apple/Sublime Stitching pattern. You can't really tell, but I weaved some glow in the dark thread on the ghost and on the first, middle, and last roof tops. I was proud of that. I am gonna try to get a picture of it glowing, too.

And, here is one I did from a Red Velvet Art pattern. It's my favorite.

I can't wait to give all of these gifts to my friends. I really hope they like them!

More Handmade Christmas gifts!

Here is a pillow I made for a friend of mine. It's from the fan dancer pattern in the Sublime Stitching Embroidered Effects book. It's the first pillow I've ever made! I've got four more to make.

And here is another Natalie Dee inspired piece. I made it for my friend who loves Natalie Dee.

Here's some more stuff I've made for Christmas gifts:

My good friend Janice is allergic to gluten. Boo! So, for her birthday, I made her some yummy gluten-free cupcakes. I also made the little mustaches!

Photobucket

I made this for a friend from an Urban Threads pattern. www.urbanthreads.com

Photobucket

I made this apron using a Red Velvet Art font and some tarts I made out of felt that are also inspired by a Red Velvet Art tote. www.redvelvetart.com

That's all for now! I gotta get back to it!
